COVID-19 Guidance

A care provider committed to preventing the spread of COVID-19

Gorselands Nursing Home has put strict guidelines in place to help protect our residents, staff and their families from Covid-19. Please take a look at our latest guidance below and don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Hampshire office if you have any questions.

Guidance

To protect our residents and staff please could you answer the following questions:

  • Have you been feeling unwell recently?
  • Have you had a recent onset of a new continuous cough?
  • Do you have a high temperature? (a staff member will take your temperature)
  • Have you noticed a loss of, or change in, normal sense of taste or smell?
  • Have you had recent contact (in the last 14 days) with anyone with COVID symptoms or someone with confirmed COVID-19? (if yes, you should be isolating as a family member or as advised to do so by NHS test and trace.)

Please could you keep a mask on for the duration of your visit and avoid contact (hugging, handshakes etc.).

All visits need to be by appointment only, unfortunately without an appointment you cannot visit.

We would love to be able to offer you refreshments but unfortunately at the moment this is not possible.

There can be two constant visitors for each resident. This will help to limit the overall numbers of visitors to Gorselands and the subsequent risk of infection.

If we do have any outbreaks visiting will be stopped immediately in order to protect residents, staff and visitors. An outbreak is classed as when two or more people have a positive swab or are showing signs and symptoms of Covid-19.
