Gorselands Commitments

Our pledge of care

We aim to provide you with peace of mind and a high standard of holistic nursing and personal care within a comfortable, relaxed and happy environment.

We will encourage you to be as independent as possible, respect your choices and your need for privacy and quiet time.

We will welcome your family and friends to our care home and will encourage them to be an integral part of your daily life with us.

Informal visiting is encouraged and they can join you in our social and activities programme. Should you or your family have any concerns regarding any aspect of your care, please let us know as soon as possible and we will do all we can to help resolve the problem.

Unique care and support plan

We know that the thought of moving into a care home can often be very traumatic for both residents and relatives, but also that it is sometimes the only option available in order to maintain personal safety and security, and to provide appropriate levels of care. Prior to admission, each new resident is encouraged to visit the home to satisfy themselves that the ambience is to their liking.

We provide a unique care and support plan that works for each individual. The first thing we do when we hear from a new client is start getting to know the person’s life history, likes, dislikes and, of course, their medical history. This helps us to understand their unique needs. Using this information, we develop an individual profile and plan of care. We encourage and support people to continue doing as many daily tasks as possible, pursue their interests and hobbies, stay active and spend quality time with family and friends.

We will ensure that we work with you and your family, friends, advocates and other professionals involved in your life in gathering all the information we need to make sure we can meet your needs.

Our vison
