Mum was treated with such care and dignity during her stay. The kindness from all staff in every position was so good and the professionalism and care second to none. The care and kindness to me during the time of my visiting, which was extended to my daughter over the last couple of days of my mum’s life, was very much appreciated.
Mum spent six months in Gorselands before she passed away. We were very impressed with the care she received. All the staff were cheerful, caring and professional in their duties. They strived to make the home as welcoming and homely for the residents as possible. At the end of her life, the palliative care was excellent. She was treated with dignity at all times.
Gorselands has a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff are all polite and helpful, we would particularly like to thank two staff members specifically. We are happy with the care provided by Gorselands.
My mother spent two and a half very happy years at Gorselands. The trained medical and caring staff were always there to help and make my mother feel confident and secure. The excellent activities staff kept my mother occupied with crafts, music, singing and dancing. Mum often enjoyed visits out to the wider environment.
The care given to my partner’s grandma was fantastic throughout. Very kind and caring manager who was so supportive and understanding in a very difficult situation. I would recommend Gorselands over any other nursing home in the area including the big companies. Goreslands is lovely and feels like home and each resident is treated as an individual.
Considering the present circumstances with Covid-19, the home is performing extremely well. It is difficult to see what else they can do to make things any better. Very happy with the care my father is receiving.
All the staff has been extremely respectful and so kind and helpful. They have treated our relative and the family and friends so sympathetically. Thank you to everyone.
Enjoy some of the entertainment especially the concert in the garden. The food is good. The carers are brilliant, the manager is very helpful and supportive.
The carers are very good. I enjoyed the activities. The food is very satisfactory.
I have been a resident for 6 months and have settled I in very well. The care, activities and food are excellent. Due to lockdown the home has made it possible for me to keep in touch with my family and friends and ordered art supplies on-line for me.
Our mother has only been in the home for four weeks. The care is good, and the staff are all friendly. The food is very good – all freshly cooked. Very clean, residents look happy. Lots of activities going on and trip out for those that would like to go.
Mum had a lovely welcome from all the staff. Only been at Gorselands for three weeks but has settled easily. All the staff are polite and welcoming. Mum doesn’t join in with activities as prefers to stay in her room, but still has a visit from the team. Mum often comments on how nice the meals are.
The staff are caring and thorough. Mum is probably the longest resident at the home presently and in all the time she had been there; I have no concerns and very happy with the care provided.
I come to join Gran for lunch and was delighted at the care being shown towards her by all the staff. Food was amazing. The activities co-ordinator was engaging with a group of other residents and I was amazed by the attention she was able to give all the residents in her care.
Today I joined a friend for lunch at Gorselands. I can’t express how much I enjoyed this. Not only was I made to feel really welcome and comfortable, the food was beautiful, all homemade and served to perfection. The manager came to speak to me and was kind and courteous. All the staff were lovely, and I could see that they really cared.
Gorselands oozes welcome and warmth. It is sufficiently casual and relaxed in relationships to encourage relaxation and contentment, but professional in all necessary ways. My husband is so happy there, and I am relaxed because he is well cared for in every way.
Thank you, Gorselands.
My mum has been here since May. We are always made welcome, can have a meal with mum and get offered a cuppa. Staff are always kind and helpful to mum and her dog, nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff.
My mum came to Gorselands, and I recommended it to my auntie. It is a lovely home, and I cannot thank the staff enough for their hard work.
A benchmark that all nursing homes should aspire to. A home that truly practices its values by consistently delivering the highest level of care, compassion and empathy by encompassing every aspect of the person’s wellbeing.
Great home cooked food, fantastic life enriching activities for the residents practised by every single team member there. The organised activities are excellent, plentiful and varied and the coordinator can never do enough to ensure the resident’s social needs and expectations are exceeded. Incredible personal care by all the angels who work there. There is always so much love and laughter in the home.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you sincerely for giving me this opportunity to work as part of the Gorselands team. This is truly a lovely home , feels homely and is very personalised. You have been and continue to be an exemplary manager, there is nothing that you do not “turn your hand to”-a rare quality for someone with the responsibilities you have. Ruth you have always led by example , and more than gone that extra mile.
The last year has been incredibly difficult for people, however you have been a trojan and kept everything going , yes i know it takes a team, but a team needs a good manager and you are an excellent manager.
